The Perks of Partials – DuraFlex, Valplast and Flexible Partials
Partials are offered when you want to replace missing teeth with removable option. It replaces missing tooth or several teeth.
Acrylic Partials Mostly recommended for dentures immediately replacing extracted teeth. It gets loose as the gum shrinks during the healing process. It shows wires around the teeth to hold the denture in place.
Metal Partials These are removable permeant options that are more stable than acrylic partials. However, the biggest disadvantage is it shows metal clasps around the teeth. After a few years of usage, it needs realigning to fit better.
Flexible Partials (DuraFlex and Valplast) These are the most comfortable permanent removable option. Hooks to your teeth and gums with no ugly wires showing. Most patients accept it very easily.
